Ryan Djojokarso's performance "Mom:me" focuses on the bond between mother and child—a bond that society deems unbreakable but often shows cracks or is entirely broken. Drawing from his evolving relationship with his own mother, Djojokarso delves into these complexities.


A cottage, symbolizing the relationship, is furnished for a family consisting of mother and child. It provides shelter during heavy rains, is too small for both personalities, and partially disintegrates during the performance. An old car tire hanging from the ceiling serves as the only distraction outside the cottage.
