Litanie van een Terugkeer
This scenographic installation, created together with a team of creators, features various digital representations of a deceased actor. The project aims to explore how digital techniques and AI can give new agency to the archive of the deceased actor. Emerging from an artistic investigation into presence—one of the most important conditions of theater—Karen Barad's posthumanist philosophy, and digital technology, the installation delves into profound themes.
It materializes that which is without material, inherently invisible, and unknowable, focusing on memories, emotions, and everything else immaterial that accompanies the loss of one of the greatest actors of his time. The experience is centered around theatrical presence, loss, technology, and death.
