Götterspeise
A play telling the story of Constant unfolds in four stations. Starting in a school cafeteria, moving through an airport cafeteria and a psychiatric ward, and ending in a prison where she receives the death sentence for euthanasia. At each station, she finds satisfaction as a cook or waitress. The characters from her past encounters reappear, and her unbroken love, idealism, and unconditional sense of justice clash with a system where charity has no meaning and no one takes responsibility for their actions.
Each station in the same setting, food was constantly wheeled in on a conveyor belt. In addition to the actors, a realistic human figure, a chorus of extras, and an enlarged head became features of each station, serving as Constant's regular accompaniment from station to station.
